								| | Tanju Eren Orchestra
T.E.O. was formed in 2013 by band members Tanju
Eren (Guitar, Vocals), Guven Ilter (Keyboards,
Vocals), Serkan Oganer (Vocals), Nedim Tanyolac
(Drums, Vocals) and, Cenk Tarhan ( Bass Guitar)
aiming to make music that emerges from the inner
								self without reservations and through
disregarding the status quo of the mainstream.

The lyrics and music written by Tanju Eren,
								after a year's work.  With Tanju Eren’s
								words:

The musical and lyrical content could be
summarized as a reach out for sincerity through
abstaining from the conformist intellectual and
emotional conventions of personal and worldly
								nature.

This, so to speak, is the effort to render the
words that would be uttered in spiritual,
mundane, philosophical and social realms through
the practice of lyrics as well as musical
								performance.

This is a voyage in pursuing for the free spirit
and free artist and the joy of creation as an
individual and as a member of a circle of mere
								five-member band.

The band members are a bunch of old friends who
have been making music together for long and
most importantly they are a circle of people
knitted to each other as fellow human beings.
T.E.O. is a band of fellowship.

The existence of our band can be defined as
making a stand against the dictation of form
that is faced by the new musicians all around.
In short, doing whatever the heart tells and
								feeling no remorse.

Being aware of the banal and tried means of
commercial success that most of the rock bands
utilize to express themselves visually, we find
creating a stage persona is somewhat comical. As
band members, we all agree that the way we are
is the purest and freest means of
self-expression. As such, we refuse to be
photographed in staged commercial scenery; we
want to appear as who we are.

Music videos, strategies and norms of the music
								sector are irrelevant for us.

Hence, our philosophy is the same as the once
naive but great artists stated, ''you are what
								you are…''

The sole aim of making music is making music.
Our songs belong to the whole world, as the
words belong to the universe once they are
uttered form our mouths. We make music, because
we cannot succeed not doing it.
