Here is what I would like to say: The seeds of this album, that is, a culmination of deep-rooted melodies with novel emotions, were planted at an evening of an autumn day of 2013. That was the very evening that I listened to Gokhan Somel’s compositions first time; I was very thrilled to hear that none of these compositions were performed. As a devotee of singing all through my life, my heart could not accept that these beautifully composed songs were secretly veiled. When I expressed my willingness to sing these songs, I remember Gokhan telling me that these compositions would need lyrics and if I could write the lyrics I could sing the songs. I was hesitant to write the lyrics, even though from time to time I like to scribble a number of literary pieces of my own, this would need a much more serious work. There was no other way around; I tried so I could sing these songs…
As I had tried to persuade him, I was converted by his music. These beautiful melodies bestowed life to my lyrics, I hope you enjoy them…
